Sacci is a specialised partner in the development of carrying systems and textile-based products. The development department is the heart of our business – this is where it all begins.
Professional team
Our development department consists of a team with broad competence in our core fields. The development team has expertise in technical textile knowledge, ergonomics, pattern construction, design, and prototype sewing. Our team places great focus on textile production, material development and sustainable textiles.
The project takes shape
Customers who want help with the development of a new or existing product come to our development department. In a first step, we collect relevant information for the project, map out the needs and review the customer’s requirement specifications. During the next step, we clarify the project’s objectives, timetable and milestones.
Next is the creative phase where ideas become reality. Sketch work and product development begin, and prototypes are produced in both 3D software and physical format for the opportunity to physically feel out the product.
Lab work, tests & certifications
We are also responsible for tests and certifications, both to ensure legal and environmental requirements, but also to meet our customers’ requirements and wishes. In our lab and test centre, certain tests and inspections are conducted. If we are not able to do something in-house, we coordinate with long-standing partners whom we trust.
Test-series & low-rate production
Once the final prototype has been approved, we offer the opportunity to produce a smaller volume series at our production unit in Borlänge, Sweden. This makes it possible to test the product in low-rate production as well as field test a smaller edition before starting up the main production line.
